Hobart, Tasmania Part 1

waiting to board the plane

This day, we flew from Melbourne to Tasmania, a beautiful island off the south coast of Australia. Tasmania is made up of wilderness and spectacular scenery. With the cleanest air and water in the world, it is also known as gourment paradise as it produces many premium food. When I read that, I was sold.

After an hour or so, we landed on Tasmania's biggest city, Hobart. The beautiful city is built into the picturesque framework of smooth mountain slopes and lush riverbanks. Perfect for a laid back holiday!

It was lunch hour, so we headed to West hobart. We went to a little cafe, Pigeon Hole that focused on using seasonal local produce for their menu. They even used organic vegetables from Weston Farm, free range eggs, good quality butter and other premium ingredients.

For grocery shopping, we dropped by West Hobart Gourmet Meats and Eumarrah Organic and Natural Food. We were pampered with extensive items in both shops. We even came back and stocked up food two days later when we left Hobart.
